ALLIANCES

As a private, non-profit research institute, the Institute of Bio-IT is positioned midway between academia and industry, leveraging the strengths and advantages of both. It is established as an organization without departments, which has enabled broad integration of cross-disciplinary science and training; team approaches; and the ability to both pioneer new technologies and take on the challenging, long-term fundamental problems in biology. Because the Institute plans to remain relatively small to facilitate internal collaboration and agility, it plans to establish partnerships with private companies, universities and other institutions.
